These two articles talk about how society has helped to discover the findings of the constellations and the cosmos. In the first articles in goes into detail about how activist had the help of the starts to guide them. The other article talks about how the wonders of science that you have to be cautious of. Although, they both have different stand points but still have the same standpoint as Bucchi’s. Overall, Scientist should consist the options outsiders to get an even more clear understanding of science. In Bucchi, it generally talks about the importance of communicating with the public about new discoveries they have made. The outsiders that are non-experts are more formular with the world and ow it functions, and a good example would be the constellations. The first article, “The right to know and understand the night sky”, talks about how activists use the stars to guide them to freedom. The article states, “Families were torn apart even in the search for freedom. Seems that participation was used very heavily in participation. Sojourner Truth had to leave most of her children behind when she walked away to freedom. We talk about Harriet Tubman using knowledge of astronomy by following the drinking gourd — the big dipper constellation — to make dangerous trips below the Mason-Dixon line to lead people to freedom, and perhaps we don’t emphasize enough that more than one of those trips was to liberate members of her family”( Prescod-Weinstein, 2019). The quote sums up engagement according to Bucchi when he talks about citizen engagement and how it’s important to the people’s perspective.

One form of diffusion would be how Africa American women and children were being treated and used the constellations to escape. According to the article, Most painfully, my personal success will not end the structural racism that keeps so many Black people, especially single Black women and their children, in poverty, and it doesn’t do anything to fight the erasure of working class Latinidad in Boyle Heights and Eagle Rock”( Prescod-Weinstein, 2019). This plays a huge role in science because it was something the people have to experienced and used their surroundings to help them. Diffusion would seem to be used the most in the second article. Bucchi talks about diffusion being the form of new information being added to what s already present. In “Evangelizing the Cosmos: Science Documentaries and the Dangers of Wonder Overload”, talks about the Cosmo and how different religions are associated with the discoveries. The article goes into about how Christianity played a key role in the Cosmos discovery. The following quote states, “Science documentaries like Cosmos depict religious wonder as one of inaction where a person can only stare helplessly at God’s creation with the implication that we are unable to understand the world of the Creator” (Kirby, 2015). The fact the religion was included in the discovery of the Cosmos would be a source of diffusion that scientist have gather up for the discovery. In conclusion, the two articles read they both have their differences and similarities.
